Noshville Deli cures a crazy mean Nashville hangover
By braddock | May 6, 2008
I reside in a town where choice and variety are frowned upon. As a result, any trip to the big city holds a barrage of special temptations. Food and drink are two vices that find my will grossly unfit for battle. My recent visit to Nashville is a great case in point.
After a particularly nasty afternoon duel with the wall of draughts at the Flying Saucer my party went in search of sustenance. The evening was filled with tapas, sushi, and a rather aggressive late night round of Mexican food. Each trip involved sampling the lagers and ales associated with the establishment’s particular cuisine.
I woke up the next morning with change stuck to my face. A face full of nickels and quarters is always an omen of a painful day to follow. Nothing takes the edge off a demon hangover like huge portions of comfy breakfast delicacies.
This is where the Noshville Deli comes in…I almost forgot what I was writing about here. Noshville is a recognized favorite when it comes to fighting off the effects of the prior evening. The portions are huge, and the selection is vast. It’s also a true deli, so you can pick up a pound of pastrami and swiss on the way out.
As I slouched in the booth, the warm morning sun and carbohydrate rich meal began to ease the raging pain centered about a quarter inch behind my cherry tomato eyeballs. I even started browsing through the weekly for good beer specials.
