Use your blog to proudly promote WordPress

By braddock | May 19, 2008

wordpress-logo-glorious I was just reading a post on Weblog Tools Collection about ways to promote and contribute to the WordPress community.  One of the more obvious tips was to make sure your blog is properly crediting WordPress.  There’s usually a little “powered by WordPress” blurb somewhere in the footer of every theme.

Some people really do it up with fancy graphics and logos they design.  I scrolled down to see the one on Weblog Tools Collection.  They have a little picture of a gear and then they credit their theme designer too.  I couldn’t remember what mine looked like, so I went to my page to check it out.

Oops!  The RockinChrome theme I use doesn’t have a WordPress credit.  How did I miss that?  I’m pretty good about crediting the people who design the things that make my WordPress blog go.

I immediately went looking for something really spectacular to change the situation.  I stumbled on a site with some great WordPress eye candy.  Just behold the logo above that I found there.  That may be too nice for the bottom of the page.
