Woopra is my new addiction

By braddock | April 30, 2008

Woopra is a tasty new application that tracks your site statistics. That sounds too bland though. Woopra really changes the way you think about your site, blog, forum…whatever. You can see in real time how your viewers found you, where they go on your site, and how they choose to exit.

You get to see how long they spend anywhere on your site, the browser they use, and even the resolution of their monitor. It’s totally voyeuristic, but it’s more than that…It’s site admin crack. You just can’t take your eyes off it.

I set up a notification that alerts me with a pop-up and a sound anytime someone views my site.  As I’m working away on other projects I can hear that little series of tones that lets me know I’m getting traffic.  I’m going to pipe it into the bedroom and let the pings and bleeps lull me to sleep.

My Woopra application even caught Woopra bigwig John Pozadzides stopping by to check out my site:

woopra visit from John Pozadzides

I tried to use the chat feature on him, but he ran off.  I think people aren’t going to react well to the chat feature.  I should probably just stop it with the chat.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to run off on you. I just didn’t even see the chat window pop up!

That’s one thing we need to work on. Making the chat popup more conspicuous.

And by the way, I haven’t heard a single report of anyone being scared off by a chat request.

    Take care,

    John

That’s okay John, catch you next time. Just glad you and Elie stopped by. If I could just get Lorelle to say hi I’d have the trifecta. -braddock
